Description:

The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the development and implementation of programs that will achieve profitable growth by directing the activities of the higher- level management in the performance of their duties. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the management aspects of the design and construction process for the Collaborative Research Center (CRC) a major laboratory facility of approximately 600,000 GSF housing multi-institutional and multi-disciplinary research.

The Senior Project Manager shall report to the Associate Vice President of Facilities Engineering and Planning for Rice University. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, directing a project management team dedicated to the CRC project; managing all consultant and construction contracts; and providing leadership and strategy for communication and coordination of all design and construction related issues within Rice University and with all primary Rice stakeholders.

Requires: B.S., B.A., B.A.S. or equivalent, preferably in Engineering, Architecture, or Architecture Engineering; must have ten years of recent, progressive experience within the project management field with demonstrated expertise in large building projects; significant experience with the design and construction of laboratory facilities; must have valid Texas Driver's License, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire, and a good driving record.

Prefer: experience with the design and construction of buildings on tight urban sites.
