Update of Proposed Changes to ADAAG Standards
Henry R. Hermis, Jr., a registered accessibility specialist with ACI, will discuss the proposed changes to the updated guidelines (which have not yet been adopted) for facilities covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The revised ADA and ABA accessibility guidelines will feature updated scooping and technical requirements and a new format and numbering system.

An Introduction to Window Films for Architectural Applications
Kelly Kelly, CP Films, will discuss the benefits that window films provide. Solar, life safety and decorative films will all be discussed, along with how they can help a building save energy, protect against bomb blasts and hurricanes and improve the aesthetics of a building.

Legislative and Case Law Update: Rules to Live By for the Texas Architect
This seminar will highlight a few of the significant changes and trends in the law as they relate to the practice of architecture in Texas. From the floor of the 78th Texas Legislature to court rooms around the state, important
laws are emerging which will influence the practice of architecture and construction for years to come. Attorneys Matthew Mussalli and Donovan Olliff, AIA will discuss some of the practical effects these changes may have on services provided by design and construction professionals.
