You are cordially invited to submit an abstract for presentation at the Construction Technology Expo to be held at the Houston George R. Brown Convention Center on February 17, 1998.
This local one-day conference is designed to benefit the entire Design and Construction industry with a full day of seminars and over one hundred twenty exhibit booths displaying the latest products and services. The local chapters of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), Associated General Contractors (AGC), Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC) and Drywall & Interiors Systems Contractors Association (DISCA) have joined forces in the second annual event. The Expo also provides the opportunity to network with other organizations in the industry with the involvement of IFMA, BOMA, ASID, SMPS and others. Last year over 400 professionals attended.

What is the time frame?
- Seminars to run in one hour blocks, some topics can take two blocks.
- Each seminar is to be followed by a question and answer period
SUBMISSION:
To be considered for presentation, your submission must include the information above and the following documentation and be received by September 15, 1997. Please fax or E-mail questions.
- One page or less synopsis of the topics to be covered in your presentation.
- 30 to 40 word session description to be used for marketing purposes.
- Target audience description. Program difficulty level for audience - introductory/advanced.
- Statement of learning objectives.
- Length of time required.
- List of supporting materials required (slides, overheads, group exercises)
- Speaker references, including names and phone numbers.
Individuals submitting entries and those chosen to speak will be notified by October 15, 1997.
CTE will provide the room set-up, slide projectors, screens, overhead projectors. Video monitors and computer simulation set up can be ordered at the speaker expense. Speakers who are selected will receive a complimentary conference registration (maximum of two per speaking team). No expenses will be reimbursed.
AIA members receive Learning Units for preparing and giving a presentation.
